198 rural bridges being constructed in Mymensingh

The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief is constructing 198 rural bridges at a cost of Taka over 46 crore in Myemensigh district, reports BSS. 

The bridges are being constructed with a view to develop rural communication networks in all 13 upazilas of the district.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Muhammad Hossain told BSS that the government has taken up a project to construct 198 bridges in the rural areas of the district for the development of rural communication network as well as development of rural economy.

Of the total bridges, 12 bridges would be constructed in Phulpur upazila, 17 in Ishwarganj. 16 in Gouripur, 19 in Nandail, 19 in Phulbaria, 14 in Haluaghat, 13 in Muktagachha, 19 in Trishal, 14 in Gafargaon, 14 in Bhaluka, 17 in Mymensingh Sadar, 10 in Dobaura and 14 bridges would be constructed in Tarakanda upazila.
