A total of 16,947 more citizens were inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division where the mass vaccination campaign continues smoothly in all eight districts, reports BSS. “Of them, 1,419 citizens of Rangpur city were inoculated with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine and 15,528 citizens of other areas of the division with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine today,” said Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam.
With this, the total number of the first dose recipient citizens rapidly climbed today to 6,96,699 in all eight districts of Rangpur division.
The district-wise break-up of first dose recipient 6,96,699 citizens stands at 1,88,286 in Rangpur, 52,385 in Panchagarh, 88,997 in Nilphamari, 42,843 Lalmonirhat, 54,471 in Kurigram, 59,841 in Thakurgaon, 1,38,412 in Dinajpur and 74,807 in Gaibandha.
Meanwhile, none was vaccinated with the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division where the number of second dose recipients remained steady at 3,89,354, including 2,48,255 male and 1,41,099 female. “The district-wise break-up of second dose recipient 3,89,354 citizens stands at 90,805 in Rangpur, 31,753 in Panchagarh, 50,273 in Nilphamari, 27,920 Lalmonirhat, 33,769 in Kurigram, 37,617 in Thakurgaon, 78,830 in Dinajpur and 38,387 in Gaibandha,” he said.
