A total of 2,583 educational institutions achieved 100 percent pass rate in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, while the number was 1,574 last year, reports BSS. Of those, 146 institutions are from Dhaka, 431 from Rajshahi, 132 from Cumilla, 275 from Jashore, 30 from Chattogram, 50 from Barishal, 22 from Sylhet, 138 from Dinajpur, while 1,263 are under Madrasa Board and 96 under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
A total of 1,224 educational institutions secured the 100 pc pass rate under eight general education boards. Meanwhile no student from 107 schools and madrasas under six education boards out of 10 boards has come out successful in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations. According to the SSC results published today, the board-wise number of such institutions is one under Rajshahi Board, one under Jashore Board, two under Barishal Board, one under Dinajpur Board and 59 under the Madrasa Board and 43 under Technical Board.
The number of schools and madrasas with zero success was 109 last year. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said the ministry would take measures to find out the reasons behind such a poor performance of those institutions and take actions accordingly.
