A photo album titled ‘Sheikh Hasina in Chattogram: An Unpublished History’ developed with photographs of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been unveiled in Chattogram. The cover unveiling ceremony was held at Chattogram Press Club on Sunday evening.
Senior Photojournalist and Freedom Fighter Debaprasad Das Debu developed the album with a number of selected photos of the premier snapped over a time of 29 years. The album was published by Awami League’s central organising secretary Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel on behalf of the ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Charitable Foundation.
Vice Chancellor of Premier University Prof Dr Anupam Sen attended the function the chief guest, while it was inaugurated by Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin.
Chattogram Press Club President Kalim Sarwar presided over by the ceremony while VC of Chattogram University Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury was the key-discussant.
Dr Afsarul Ameen MP, the Press Club former president and Rupali Bank’s director Abu Sufian, Press Club’s general secretary Shuklal Das, President of Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ) Nazimuddin Shayamal and South district AL General Secretary Mafizur Rahman addressed the ceremony, among others.
The speakers said Sheikh Hasina is the most trusted aspiration of the Bengali nation. Each photographs lanced by photojournalist Debu is a document of integral part of the history which will lead the next generation to know about life, struggle, work and political history of Sheikh Hasina, they said.
