Md. Ruhul Amin, Addi­tional Secre­tary, has joined as Chairman of
Ban­gladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral
Cor­poration (Petro­bangla) on deputation on 29 November, says a press release on Sunday.
He served as additional secretary in the Energy & Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) before taking over as Chairman of Petrobangla. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Admin), cadre on February 15 in 1988.
During his versatile career, he served as Upazilla Nirbahi Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commi­ssioner of Pirojpur and Divisi­onal Commissioner of Chattogram.
He also served in the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Finance, Internal Resources Division, Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and EMRD in different prestigious positions. Earlier he also served as Director (Administration) of Petrobangla.
He did his graduation and post graduation degree in Social Science from Dhaka University. Currently, he is conducting part-time Ph.D research in Department of Archaeology of Jahangirnagar University. He anticipates co-operation from all in performing his duty as Chairman of Petrobangla.
