Former governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr Atiur Rahman addresses a discussion styled ‘Youths are the Future Bangladesh’ as the chief guest at Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium of Rajshahi University on Saturday.

The young generation should become entrepreneurs as only youths can take a country towards real development, said Bangladesh Bank governor and eminent economist Dr. Atiur Rahman while addressing a seminar titled “The youths are future leader” held at Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium
of the Rajshahi University on Saturday.
World Link Up, a voluntary organization of the university arranged the program in association with Bashundhara Cement.
The discussants stressed the need for transforming the youngsters into worthy citizens through giving them
the scopes of flourishing their
latent talents.
The young generation has been playing a big role in bringing a positive change to the economy of Bangladesh.
Economic growth has increased immensely in the country. Average life expectancy and per capita income has also increased, but adequate job facilities are not being created. Dr Atiur Rahman said that time has come to transform the educated youths into entrepreneurs and they should be connected with big corporate entrepreneurs for bolstering the country’s economy.
He also stressed the need for diversifying digital technology-based initiatives for enhancing
the volume of regional trade and business.
He stressed that young people should make endeavors toward proper education and training and be aware and keep in mind that
they are not only working for themselves but also the welfare of the whole nation.
During the program, eminent writer Hassan Azizul Haque said that youths can make a lot of contribution to the country’s development. Their participation should be increased enormously in field of development.
The organisation’s founder president Masum Billah delivered the welcome speech in the program.

of Bangladesh Bank AFM Asaduzzaman addressed the function, among others, while the organisation’s administrative panel affairs member Hiya Mubashira and former student of RU Bangla department Juwel Kibria conducted it.
