A C&F employee named Jahid Hossain was killed in Sharsha of Jashore for asking to get his money returned by Feroza Begum at her house in Islampur village on Wednesday night, his relatives informed the Bangladesh Post.
The deceased was the son of Abdul Jabbar of Naranpur village of Porabari in Benapole. He was the manager of Benapole C & F agency Shejuti Enterprise.
Police have arrested Feroza Begum, her husband Golam Rasul and 6 others from their family in this connection.
Police and relatives of the deceased said, the accused couple took taka 6 lacs from him almost three months ago promising to take him to the USA. However, they began making excuses after taking the money. When the deceased pressed on, Feroza finally agreed to return the money. On Wednesday night Jahid went to her house and got into an argument, during which he was killed in a pre-planned way with loud music being played from the deck set to distract from the noise. He was hacked to death after beig severely beaten, then his body was stuffed into a sack and dumped into a nearby banana plantation.
Police recovered the body on Thursday morning.
