The Nuclear and Science Week 2018 was observed at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday.
IU Electrical and Electronics Engineering department organized the programme in association with Ruppur Power Plant and Bangabandhu Nabo Theatre at Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium on the campus.
IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur Rashid Askari attended the function as the chief guest, while pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha, and dean of Applied Science and Technology faculty Prof Dr M Momtajul Islam attended as the special guests.
Dr Tashlykov Oleg, Associate Professor of Ural Federation University in Russia, Dr Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan and M Ali Zulkarnain, former chairmen of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission addressed as the keynote speakers.
Prof Dr M Monjarul Alam, chairman of the department, presided over the programme while Umaira Ahmed Bristi, a final year student of the department conducted the day-long seminar.
A free questioning session was held while various scientific and educational activities on nuclear science exhibited through power point presentation.
