Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Friday asked the authorities of educational institutions not to charge additional fees in admission of students, warning that stern action would be taken if they take extra fees from students, reports BSS.
“Tougher action will be taken if anyone is found charging extra fees to students…taking additional fees during admission and other examinations are totally illegal,” she said while exchanging views with local journalists at sadar upazila in Chandpur.
Earlier, Dipu Moni exchanged greetings with the common people of different unions of her electoral constituency.
She hoped that the educational institutions would follow the rules during admission of students and other examinations.

Besides, she said, the government will take every necessary step to improve the sector.
The education minister
sought cooperation from all in this regard.
AL district unit president and municipality mayor Nasir Uddin Ahmed, its general secretary Abu Noeem Patwari Dulal, and AL Sadar upazila president Nurul Islam Nazim and its general secretary Ali Arshad Miazi were, among others, present.
