Maidul Islam, a visitor of the fair said, “There are many negative misconceptions surrounding this mother and daughter-in-law relationship in our society. This fair is changing these misconceptions. I think if this kind of event is arranged more often, this will have a positive impact on our communities. There will be more social awareness, and the family bond between these women will improve.”
Another visitor and mother-in-law Maleka Begum said, “Three of my sons have wives. With all three daughters my relationship is like their mother. “There was a lot of distance between me and my mother-in-law. Coming to this fair today, I have overcome a lot of misconceptions. There will not be any more animosity between us. We will spend our time as mother and daughter.”
