Participants bring out a colourful procession on the occasion of district parliamentary debating festival from in front of Jhenidah government Keshab Chandra College on Monday.

A month-long parliamentary debate festival organised by Jhenidah Debating Society kick-started in the town on Monday, amid much festivity.
On the occasion, a discussion was organised at Jhenidah government Keshab Chandra College’s Shahid Minar premises.

Principal of the college Professor Dr BM Rezaul Karim inaugurated the discussion chaired by president of the society Ariful Islam. Deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath attended the discussion as the chief guest. A colourful procession was brought out from in front of the college marking the festival.

Additional deputy commissioner (general) Arif Uz Zaman, UNO Shammi Islam, Nirapad Sarak Chai, a platform demanding safer road leader Advocate Manwarul Haque Lal and Debating society general secretary Shubho Kumar Biswas spoke on the occasion among others.
Government Keshab Chandra College and Jhenidah polytechnic institute participated in debating on the inaugural day of the month-long program.
