Hundreds of people from all walks of life converge at Central Shaheed Minar to bid a final farewell to photographer Anwar Hossain on Monday.

Hundreds of people from all walks of life on Monday converged at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka to bid a final farewell to photographer Anwar Hossain. His body was taken there at about 11:00am and kept until 12:30pm.
Photographer Shahidul Alam, Bhorer Kagoj Editor Shyamol Dutta and others placed floral wreaths on the coffin of Anwar Hossain. Eminent personalities, journalists, photojournalists and film directors gathered at the venue to pay their final respects to the photographer. Anwar Hossain’s two sons were also present at the time.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held on Dhaka University’s Central Mosque premises after Zuhr prayers. Later, he was buried at Intellectual Martyrs Graveyard in Mirpur.
The national Award-winning photographer was found dead in a Dhaka hotel on Saturday.
Anwar Hossain who was living in France with his family checked into the hotel on November 28. He returned to the country in order to judge a photography competition organized by Phoenix Photography Association.
