The viva-voce for the first year honour courses waiting lists’ candidates under 2018-19 academic session of Islamic University in Kushtia will begin today (Sunday).
‘A’ unit viva voce under Theology and Islamic Studies faculty will be held on the day while ‘C’ unit waiting lists interview under Business Administration faculty will be held on December 17.
The selected candidates from ‘A’ unit against 18 vacant seats are asked to complete their admission process within December 12 whereas the selected seekers of ‘C’ unit within December 23.
Besides, ‘B’ and ‘D’ unit waiting lists interview under Humanities & Social Science faculty and Applied Science and Technology faculty will be held on December 22 and the listed aspirants of those units are asked to fill up the admission process within December 24.
ATM Emdalud Haque, director of IU academic office, told Bangladesh Post that the vacant seats would be filled from
waiting lists.
A total 18 seats are still remained vacant for ‘A’ unit while 256, seats at ‘B’ unit, 112 seats at ‘C’ unit and 245 seats vacant at ‘D’ unit. A total of 656 seats out of 2,275 are still vacant at 33 departments under four units of the university, he added.
