Nineteen seventy one and other Stories, a collection of short stories, written by Islamic University vice chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid has been translated into French Language.
Gabriel Koushi, a literate of France translated the book with the title ‘The Harrowing Tells of 1971’.
The newly translated book was unveiled on Saturday at a programme at the VC’s conference room around 1:00pm on the campus.
IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha unveiled French version with presence of vice chancellor Dr Rashid Askari.
S M Abdul Latif, registrar in charge of the university conducted unveiling programme while IU students adviser Prof Dr M Rezwanul Islam, IU Journalists Association Secretary Emran Shuvro, IU Press Club president Iqbal Hossain Rudra, its secretary Asif Khan and among others journalists of the university were took part here.
Mentioned, in 2011, the book ‘Nineteen seventy one and other stories’ published by Pathok Somabesh with 12 stories.
Latter, Dr Usa Bonde, lecturer of English department of Shimla University, India translated the book into Hindi Language from Rubric publishing organization.
