The activities ofIslamic University unitof Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League, of Islamic University in Kushtia unit have been suspended by the central BCL body for violating the organization’s rules and regulations.

Central BCL unit president RezwanulHaque Chowdhury Shovon and its general secretary Golam Robbani issued a press release in this regard on Sunday night.

A three-member probe body was formed to investigate the allegation brought against the IU BCL unit which was published in different newspapers.

The decision came from an emergency meeting of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s central executive committee.

The members of the probe body are Al Nahina Joy, M ShakilBhuiyan and Jahangir ManjilPipash.

The central BCL unit asked the probe body to submit their investigation reportbefore November 10.

The committee of IU BCL unit was formed on April 16 after 4th BCL council of the university held on April 6. Shahinoor Rahman Shahin and Jewel Rana Halim of Bangla department were selected as president and secretary respectively.
