At the end of the three-day Indonesia Trade Fair 2018, the country has received $274 million which is equivalent to Tk 2250 crore business order from Bangladesh.
The Deputy Trade Minister of the Republic of Indonesia Arlinda disclosed the figure at the closing ceremony of the trade and tourism fair at fair venue Le Meridian Hotel in the capital on Saturday.
She said that business deals were made on the Indonesian products such as carriages, motor vehicle (buses), spices, cosmetics, fashion and food commodities. Nearly 10 thousand visitors came to Indonesian Fair organised by the Indonesian Embassy in cooperation with Ministry of Trade of Indonesia and Indonesia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the event, more than 45 companies come to Bangladesh to join Business Forum and Business Matching.
The Indonesia Trade Mission visited to Meghna Group Industry (MGI), an importer of Indonesian products such as CPO, Pulp and Paper, and Clinker. To this regard Arlinda said “We hope that MGI can cooperate more with Indonesia and imports even more commodities from Indonesia, such as tea and coffee”.
The Indonesian Deputy Minister of Trade also invite business leaders from Bangladesh to attend the 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), which will be held on 24-28 October 2018 at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, in Banten Province, Indonesia.
