As hostilities between India and Pakistan persisted, Prime Minister Narendra said on Thursday that India “will fight as one, will live as one, will work as one, will grow as one and will win as one.”
Addressing BJP workers in 15,000 locations across India via his App, Modi said “sentiments in India are at a different level now. “The country is in a new confidence… Everyone feels that what was impossible is possible.” He said it was necessary to ensure that nothing is done to dent the morale of the security forces. “When the enemy supports terror and acts against India, it is to stop India’s progress. But we must all ensure that we stand together, stand united, stand with our soldiers to ensure we are strong… ensure that no matter what, our progress and our work does not stop,” said Modi.
He said “the country’s heroic youth is showing its strength on the border and across the border. The whole country is one and stands with our jawans. India is going to attain even more strength and development in the times to come.”
It is necessary to ensure that nothing is done to dent the morale of the security forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday, a day after Pakistani fighter jets violated Indian air space in response to Indian forces targeting a JeM terror camp in its territory. Modi also said India will fight, live, work and win as one and nobody can create hurdles in its march towards development.
Modi said in his address that the 2014 parliamentary election was a mandate for fulfilling people’s necessities and the 2019 polls will be about fulfilling people’s aspirations. “Some people, for their selfish interests, dislike a strong government, he said. BJP workers need to tell people the benefits of a strong government,” he added.
Main opposition party Congress earlier on Thursday criticised Modi for organising an “election campaign programme” at a time when the country awaits the return of captured Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
Congress chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala tweeted that “it is shameful that while India awaits the return of Wing Commander Abhinandan, our Prime Time PM cannot stop campaigning even for a few minutes. We stand with our soldiers & will continue to question the Modi Govt on their apathy.”
