TechShohor Smartphone and Tab Expo experienced overwhelming crowd on Saturday, the concluding day, as buyers and visitors thronged the stalls on end hours to grab exiting offers.
Officials of the participating firms were trying to attract customers to their respective stalls by announcing maximum offers they can do at level best. Long queue was seen at the entrance of the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.
The mega technology carnival wrapped up on Saturday night which was earlier inaugurated by Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Thursday. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the special guest.
Expo Maker organised the fair for the eleventh time to introduce the latest innovation at smartphone and tablet computer segment.
The participating brands at the expo experienced overwhelming crowd from the first day; however, the fair got a momentum in last two days as people crowd increased in public holidays, they informed.
Huawei announced maximum 20 percent discount on semaphore and maximum 40 percent discount on accessories marking the three-day expo.
Besides, the customers get maximum 12 percent discount on Tecno brand of Transsion Bangladesh while Vivo mobile announced maximum 50 percent waiver on price chart. Customers get free speaker with every purchase of Motorola device. Infinix and Umigidi brands offer maximum 10 percent and 20 percent respectively.
Organisers informed that world’s renowned and Bangladeshi smart phone and tablet brands are available in the three-day fair. Meanwhile, mobile brands- Huawei, Samsung, Tecno, Vivo, We, GoldenField, Motorola, Nokia, iPhone, UCC, Infinix, Umidigi, DTel, ADA, Maximums and e-commerce platform Priyoshop.com are getting attractions from customers. The brands have displayed and sold smart devices, according to the organisers. Besides, there are scheduled to uncover some new smart phones at the expo premises. Visitors also can collect the necessary accessories from the fair. Expo Maker Strategic Planner Muhammad Khan said the expo has broken all previous records in terms of sales volume as well as in terms of visitor’s number. The participants companies are also happy to get over sales than expectations.
There are three platinum sponsors of the fair – Huawei, Samsung and Tecno while Vivo and WE are gold sponsors. Silver sponsors are GoldenField and Motorola and title sponsor is Techshohor.com, leading news portal on technology and telecom issues in the country. Overseas education consulting firm EduMaker has role as partner of the mega event.
There are three platinum sponsor pavilions, two gold sponsor pavilions, two silver sponsor pavilions alongside with six regular pavilions and 4 stalls in the fair. The participant brands will be offer special on the occasion.

The expo arena will open till 8 pm on Saturday while an entry fee for the fair is Tk 20 and specially-enabled ones and school-college goers get free access.
