Actors Ferdous Ahmed and Dilara Hanif Purnima got injured on the set of ‘Gangcheel’ in Noakhali’s Companiganj Upazila. The accident took place on Sunday at 10 in the morning. The movie’s director Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul informed of the incident to the media.
According to him, both of them are hurt severely. Nayeem said, “Both of them are receiving medical attention. They have been admitted to Bashurhat Hospital.”
Regarding the accident, Ferdous said, “Purnima and I were shooting for a scene where she was riding a bike. I was sitting behind her. While on the run, the bike lost control and fell down. Both of us were hurt badly. I hurt my shoulder and Purnima, her leg.”
The movie is based on the novel ‘Gangcheel’ written by Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader. The movie is produced by Ichhemoto and Nuzhat Films. Besides Ferdous and Purnima, other cast members of the movie include Anisur Rahman Milon, Tariq Anam Khan and renowned Indian-Bangla actor Rituparna Sengupta.
In the movie, Ferdous will be seen in the role of a journalist and Purnima will portray the character of a NGO worker. The shooting of the film began from 6 February.
