A representative of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber and Commerce Industries (FBCCI) left Dhaka for Turkey on Wednesday to attend the D-8 Chambers of Commerce and Industry (D-8 CCI) Plenary Assembly and Business Forum to be held at Antalya in Turkey today. FBCCI Senior Vice President Sheikh Fazle Fahim is going to participate there as a panel discussant at the session on ‘Economic Developments of D-8 Countries’, said a press release.
The forum will be inaugurated by the President of D-8 CCI and the President of TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey).
The Business Forum will discuss the ways to improve trade and investment relations between the D-8 countries and the economic developments of the member countries.
Apart from attending the forum, FBCCI Senior Vice President will have bilateral meetings with the representatives of D-8 member countries. Sheikh Fahim, at the meetings will highlight the potential investment scenario of Bangladesh.
He will also extend his efforts to develop bilateral trade with them.
D-8, also known as Developing-8 established in 1997 has an objective to improve the position of the member states in the global economy, diversify and create new opportunities in trade relations, enhance participation in decision making at international level.
