The Election Commission (EC) will hear appeal from all the rejected candidates in a fair manner.
Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder said this while talking to the reporters after visiting EC’s booths for carrying out appeal filing activities at its Agargaon office in the capital.
Commissioner Talukder said, “We will scrutinize each appeal filed by the candidates whose nomination papers have been scraped, and we will be neutral during hearing appeals.”
“The EC will not be biased towards anyone while hearing the appeals. We will hear the appeals according to the law, and each appeal will be scrutinized as per its merit,” he added.
Talukder further said, “Those who have filed the appeals will present their documents in support of their pleas in the hearing. I don’t have any personal opinion about this. We all want justice.”
