Day 1 of the 2nd round of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) was positive for East Zone, but not so much for Central Zone.
Ebadat’s 5-wicket haul 2018-19 put BCB North Zone in a commanding position against Walton Central Zone at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Bogra.
The failure of top order batsmen were very much visible. Central Zone lost 4 wickets before adding 30 runs on the scoreboard. Abdul Mazid with Shuvagat Hom stabilized the innings but couldn’t done enough to turn the match around. Specially after Ebadat fired up and destroyed the lower order.
Batting first Central Zone were all out for 220. Abdul Majid was the highest scorer with 76. Ebadat bagged 6 wickets for 51.
On the other hand, North Zone lost Junaid at the very beginning, but that was the only one for the day. Mizanur and Farhad remains on the crease. North Zone ended the day on 72 for 1 trailing by 142 runs.

On the other match, Islami Bank East Zone enjoyed a solid start to their first innings against Prime Bank South Zone thanks to Shamsur’s hundred and fifty at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium, Rajshahi.
With Rony, Shamsur made a almost hundred runs pair. Rony and Tasamaul also bat half centuries.
Shamsur’s 153-run knock power themto post 314 for the first day. Abdur Razzak took 3 wickets for 111.
