After all the speculation, the much-talked-about political thriller film ‘Dohon’ has received an uncut censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board. The film is directed by Raihan Rafi and produced by Jaaz Multimedia.
Iftekhar Uddin, a member of the censor board, defining ‘Dohon’ is completely a new type of film confirmed that the film got the green signal from the censor board on Monday. Besides, the members of the board have also praised the film.
The film ‘Dohon’ is scheduled to hit 40 movie theatres across the country and later the film will have its screening around 200 film theatres. The film will also be released outside the country as well.
Soon after the release of its trailer last Thursday, young filmmaker Raihan Rafi’s ‘Dohon’ have been receiving very positive reaction from the audience. Within six days, the trailer has already got about 10 lakh views on YouTube.
One of the songs ‘Haji-R-Biriyani’ from the film that created a controversy in the media was re-arranged before the submission for censor certificate.
The film has brought together an array of well-known cast, which includes Siam Ahmed, Puja Cherry, Zakia Bari Mamo, Munira Mithu, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Trique Anam Khan among others.
