The last days of two 4-day matches between four teams of Bangladesh Cricket League were not without dramatic turn. While one of the matches ended in draw, other one was full of climaxes.
Walton Central Zone won a dramatic match at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium after it had lost all wickets in less than 300 runs the second innings. But chasing that much run was beyond Prime Bank South Zone’s capacity, as it seemed because they were unable to build any solid defense against Central Zone bowlers. Only resistance South Zone had shown was in third and fifth partnerships. The main architect of Central Zone’s devastation was Haider, who took four wickets.
The other match of the day a Shaheed A. H. M. Qamaruzzaman Stadium, BCB North Zone and Islami Bank East Zone both were too strong for each other to be taken down.
North Zone was as resilient as in they were in the first innings. Farhad and Sabbir both stood strong against Zayed-Hasan’s bowling attack. Farhad achieved a century while Zayed took two wickets.
