Co-operatives are important in changing the fate of the marginalised population. Combined efforts can change the economic condition of any country. If we all work together, then there will be revolutionary changes in the development of the country.
Additional deputy commissioner (General) of Chandpur Mohammad Shawkat Oshman came up with the observation as the chief guest at a discussion organised by the district administration in Chandpur on Sunday, marking the 47th National Cooperative Day in. The discussion was held at district Shilpakala Academy auditorium with the slogan ‘Build a co-operative based society, ensure sustainable development’.
He said, “To ensure sustainable development, a cooperative based society will be formed. There is no alternative to productivity.”
Presided over by Chandpur Central Co-operative Bank Limited Chairman Abu Nayeem Dulal Patwari, the meeting was addressed by Mizanur Rahman, Chandpur Land Mortgage Bank Limited’s editor Ali Ershad Miajhi, Chandra Educated Youth Multicultural Co-operative Society Limited chairman Madam Jasim Uddin Sheikh and district auditor general Mohammad Saiful Islam.
