North South University (NSU) hosted their annual mega-event, Club Fair 2018 on Tuesday, December 11th from 10AM to 8PM at the Bashundhara campus premises.
The day’s festivities began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by speeches from the chief guest, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, M A Hashem, and special guests, the Vice-Chancellor Atikul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor G U Ahsan and the Director of Student Affairs, Parisa Shakur.
In addition to recognizing the organizers for their efforts, all the guests spoke about the theme for this program, which was “Resurrection”, a reference to the fact that the Club Fair was being revived after a two-year hiatus. The Club Fair has long been regarded as a marquee event at NSU, due to the cross-club collaboration involved in putting it all together.
All 23 clubs took to the stage for performances. These included songs by the Communications Club, cosplay from the Pharmacy Club, a fashion show from the Diversity Club, a dance by Shangskritik Shangathan, and other performances from the HR, Debate, Earth Club and many more.
The evening concluded with awards given to the best clubs, club presidents and faculty advisors, followed by a raucous concert by Shironamhin. The program was attended by NSU students, faculty, administration and alumni and was enjoyed by all.
