Car Haat, an IT based startup, arranges a daylong car fair on Rajdhani High School’s play ground every Friday. The cars are available in reasonable price that ranges from Tk 350,000 to Tk 3,000,000. Visitors, especially from middle class, feel happy as they find cars of their choice at cheaper rate.
A customer can select his preferred one from a huge number of displayed cars in one place where he can get security of documents, know about car’s condition, exchange money in a highly secured way, said Khondoker Omar Faruque, chief operation officer of the fair organizing company.
The place is getting more popular as simultaneously with buyers, sellers can sell their cars instantly at rational price, he told Bangladesh Post.
“We try to make a secure used-cars marketplace for both sellers and buyers so that no one can be cheated,” he added.
They confirm all necessary documents of sellers’ car and give 100 percent surety to buyers, he further added.
However, for this service, the company charges 2.5 percent commission on selling price for every car exchange.
Some buyers and sellers told while talking with Bangladesh Post, the fair saves their valuable time, money and unwanted risks.
There was a time when the buyers had to visit so many show rooms and see vehicles with in limited options.
Car Haat is the first timer with the motto of “Creating New Way”, who started providing multi-options for the buyers on the same ground since 1999.
