Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has taken a decision to work earnestly to reduce power system loss.
The decision was taken at the BDPB Central Revenue meeting at Biddyut Bhaban in Dhaka with PDB member (administration) Jahurul Haque in the chair.
PDB director Saiful Hasan Chowdhury said in the meeting, all the people concerned were asked to work to meet the PDB’s revenue target in the current fiscal year and reduce the zone-wise system loss and take all-out efforts to recover the arrears.
The member administration warned everyone that strict action will be taken if any irregularity is found in this regard.
PDB member (distribution) Fakhruzzaman, member (company affairs) Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Member (Finance) Selim Abed, Chief Engineer and Technical Engineers of four Distribution Zone, Project Directors, Directors of various departments and other officials were also present in the meeting.
When the PDB General Manager highlighted the overall revenue situation of four distribution zones in the commercial management meeting, the officials concerned took part in the detailed discussion.
The meeting provided different direction for field-level officials to increase revenue collection and reduce system loss.
The progress of PDB’s distribution project activities and consultant activities were also discussed in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the project directors are instructed to finish the ongoing projects in due time. It was instructed to respond to all audit objections, to increase the amount of revenue earning.
