Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) and country’s largest mobile financial service organisation bKash Limited jointly organised a ‘Spot Recruitment’ programme on DIU premises in Dhaka recently.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE) of DIU was present at the programme as the chief guest, said a press release.
Ms Arifa Sultana, Organizational Development Officer, HR of bKash was present at the programme as the resource person. Md. Abu Taher Khan, director, CDC of DIU presided over the programme. The seminar was anchored by Al Safayat, administrative officer of CDC.
Aiming to spot recruitment of various positions, bKash Limited arranged this program especially for the students of Daffodil International University.More than 200 interested students dropped their Resume on the spot and took part in MCQ test just after the program. Successful candidates will be asked for a Viva examination and viva passed candidates will get appointment letter.
Speaking as the chief guest, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal said, Daffodil International University doesn’t provide only certificates but it makes a student as skilled human resource. The course curriculum of this university has been created on the basis of industry demand so that after completion of graduation, students don’t suffer unemployment problems.
While conducting the seminar, Ms. Arifa Sultana said that bKash is one of the largest mobile financial service organisations not only in Bangladesh but also across the globe. Its daily financial transaction is around five million taka. In Bangladesh, 13 percent transaction of total cash transfer is done by bKash. So bKash needs lot of skill officers. For this reason, bKash recruits skill persons every day.
She also said, aiming to recruit skilled manpower bKash has arranged this spot recruitment programme. She informed the students that bKash is a new job market and it is expanding rapidly. So there is lot of opportunities for the students to build career in this sector.
