A 23-memebr of Bangladesh women ‘s Olympic football team leave for Nepal today to take part in the Asian Olympic Qualifier Round 1 scheduled to be held on November 8 to November 13 in Myanmar. Bangladesh leaves today at 10:45 am. Before leaved Dhaka a press conference was held in the conference room of the BFF House (2nd floor) in Motijheel on Sunday. Team manager, head coach and captain of the team was attended the press conference.
In the Olympic qualifiers, Bangladesh is in group C along with India, Myanmar and Nepal.The first match of the group will take place between hosts Myanmar and Bangladesh on November 8 at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. The next two matches for team Bangladesh are on November 11 and 13.
Only Myanmar is the strong team in our group and it will be challenge for us said press conference head coach Golam Rabbni Choton.
They are top in the ranking 44 in our group on the other hand, India 59, and Nepal 109. Our ranking is very poor 112 so it would be challenges for our girl’ choton added.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the last four stages. All the matches will be played at All Myanmar Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.
