Bangladesh women teams’ lose Pakistan by eight runs in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifier warm-up match at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Winning the toss, Bangladesh elected to field first. Skipper Salma and Khadija share four wickets.Spinner Khadija gave Bangladesh the first breakthrough to sent back Omaima Sohail for 4. Salma Khatun could do little with the ball, and Khadija Tul Kubra kept up the pressure. By the 15th over, Pakistan were at 82/5. Skipper Bismah Maroof top scored for Pakistan. She scored 22 runs before she was caught behind by Bangladeshi leg break spinner Fahima Khatun.
Khadija ended the innings two wickets but the Pakistan were most susceptible to Salma’s leg spin. She picked up two wickets for 18 runs. Off-spinner Fahima Khatun took one wicket for 17 runs. Pakistan set up to targets for Bangladesh 106.
In reply, the Tigress gifted early wickets,scoring 63-4 runs at ten overs. Pacer Aiman Anwer and Sana Mir kept up the pressure for Bangladesh. Three players reached double figure for Bangladesh.
Fargana Hoque bagged most of the runs 28 of 41balls.Rumana Ahmed scored ten before she was dismissed. Bangladesh reached 98 for 9 at 20 overs. Pakistan won the match by eight runs. Aiman Anwer picks up two wickets for 13.
