A 12-foot portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been installed at Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics to pay tribute to the founder and father of the nation.
Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Monday inaugurated the first-ever biggest portrait made of Bangabandhu at government offices at BBS.
State Minister of Finance and Planning MA Mannan was also present at the programme.
Speaking as chief guest, Mustafa Kamal said the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established the BBS in 1974.
“He (Bangabandhu) is the inspiration of all successful works in the country,” he also said.
Meanwhile, the planning minister has handed over key of vehicles to officials of BBS at Chattogram division and all districts to increase dynamism and capacity in works.
Secretary of statistics and information management of BBS, Sourendra Nath Chakrabarty and other officials of BBS were present at programme.
