A three-day art exhibition titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ began at Rajshahi University on Monday with a view to spreading the Bangabandhu’s ideology among the new generation of country. Around hundreds artworks were displayed at the exhibition.
RU vice chancellor professor M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the exhibition at the university’s teachers-students cultural centre while Rajshahi city corporation mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton was present there.
Presided over by fine arts faculty dean professor Siddhartha Shankar Talukder, RU pro vice chancellors professor Ananda Kumar Saha, Professor Chowdhury Mohammod Zakaria, proctor Professor Lutfar Rahman, former student adviser professor Golam Sabbir Sattar Tapu, TSCC director Hasibul Alam Prodhan, RU unit BCL president and general secretary Faisal Ahmed Runu were also present at the inaugural ceremony, among others.
In exhibition, Mayor Liton said an art is an essential part like science and knowledge. The nation will get inspiration and the country will be free from terrorism by arranging such type of exhibition, he said.
RU VC professor Sobhan said that the Bangabandhu and the Bangladesh are equal name. There are no differences between them.
