President Md Abdul Hamid as per the constitution on Monday appointed three judges to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
The president appointed Justice Zinat Ara, Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee and Justice Md Nuruzzaman, who were observing duties at the High Court Division, to the Appellate Division, reports BSS.
“Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain will administer oath to the three new Appellate Division judges at Judges’ Lounge at 10.30 am tomorrow,” High Court Division special officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman told the state news agency.
With the appointment of three new judges, the total number of judges at the Appellate Division now stands seven.
