The Awami league-backed yellow panel won the Rajshahi University syndicate election against BNP’s white panel.
The election was held at Juberi Bhaban of the University from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Monday.

Bari, the chief election commissioner, announced the results at about
3:00 pm.
Yellow panel candidate Prof M. Humayun Kabir, a dean of Business Studies faculty and also the teacher of Accounting and Information Systems department, was elected as a dean representative to the syndicate. He got a total of 527 votes contesting against BNP’s white panel.
On the other hand, white panel candidate Prof Dr. M. Fazlul Haque, a dean of Arts faculty and teacher of Islamic History and Culture department, acquired 379 votes and became defeated.
A total of 906 teachers of deferent departments have given their votes.
