Former chairman and sponsor director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd inaugurates the 155th branch of the bank at Karnaphuli, Chittagong on Thursday. Alhajj Mir Ahmed Sowdagar inaugurated the ranch as the chief guest. Deputy managing director S. M. Jaffar presided over the ceremony.

Former chairman and sponsor director of the Bank Alhajj Mir Ahmed Sowdagar inaugurated the new branch as the chief guest.
Deputy managing director S. M. Jaffar presided over the ceremony, said a press release.
Mohammad Azam, senior vice president and head, AIBL Chittagong Zone delivered welcome speech. The occasion was addressed by Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, executive vice president & head of GSD, Md. Jahangir Alam, senior vice president and manager, Jubilee Road branch, Chittagong, local elites Mohammed Haidar Ali, Karnaphuli, Mohammed Ali, Engr. Islam Ahmed, and Alhajj Moulana Jahangir Alam Al-Kaderi, Khatib, Anowara Centre Jam-e-Moqsue.
The programme was moderated by Jalal Ahmed, vice president and head of PR, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. ‘
Alhajj Mir Ahmed Sowdagar, in his speech welcomed the new branch at Karnaphuli. He also said Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of the society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking service in the new branch. He added, Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country.
