A man was found dead Rajapur upazila in Jhalakathi on Friday with a note saying that ‘rapists deserve such fate’ and warning others. The body was sent to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased was identified as Rakib Hasan, 20, one of the men accused of gang-raping a madrasa student in a case filed with Bhandaria Police Station.
Rakib is the second person accused in the case.
The warning note was found on his neck that reads: “I am involved in the rape of the madrasa girl…this is the fate a rapist deserves”.

Later on January 17, the girl’s father filed a case with Bhandaria Police Station accusing Sajal and one Rakib.
Earlier on January 24, another accused in the gang-rape, Sajal, was found dead in Kathalia of Jhalakathi with the same note hanging around the neck.
