A total of 66.64 per cent students have passed this year’s Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations held under ten education boards of the country.

A total of 29,262 students got the maximum grade point average GPA-5.

The pass rate of HSC and equivalent higher secondary exams has fallen to 66.64 this year from 69.91 percent in last year. A total of 858,801 students have passed this year.

Earlier this morning, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over a copy of results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital.

A total of 12, 88,757 students including 6, 80884 females from 8,945 educational institutions appeared in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations.

A total of 11, 83,686 examinees appeared in the HSC and equivalent
examinations last year.
