Aarong, a leading retail chain of BRAC, marked their 40th founding anniversary with a three day long celebration which began from October 25 at the Bangladesh Army Stadium. Popular Bangladeshi musicians rocked the crowd with their performances on the third and final day of the festival on Saturday 27 October.
The show began with a minute of silence to pay respect to the deceased musician and guitarist Ayub Bachchu. Then the COO of Aarong, Ashraful Alam, gave his welcome speech and announced the opening of the concert and the final day of the three-day-long festival to mark 40 years of Aarong.
Performances by Minar, Joler Gaan, and Nagar Baul captivated thousands at the show. Minar started the concert with ‘Hashte Dekho’ as a tribute to Ayub Bachchu. He also performed some of his popular tracks. Then Joler Gaan also performed their most popular songs such as ‘Bakul Phool,’ ‘Rongin Projapoti,’ ‘Maa,’ and more. They also sang ‘Bashundhara’ to pay tribute to the icon Ayub Bachchu.
Later on, James with his band Nagar Baul, came on stage. He started with ‘Dukhini Dukkho Korona.’ Then he sang ‘Lace Feeta Lace,’ ‘Guru Ghor Banaila Ki Diya,’ ‘Maa,’ ‘Dustu Cheler Dol,’ and his very famous Hindi track ‘Bheegi Bheegi.’
