A mobile court On Saturday sentenced four drug addicts in Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka.
The convicts are Mokbul Hossain, 40, son of Latif Mistri of Balurchar Tukniakanda area of Boxanagar Union under the upazila. Md. Rakib, 20, son of Nur Hossain, Alamgir, 20, son of Ali Akmal, and Bulbul, 35, son of Gopal of Balki village at Panalia area of Mymensingh district. Bulbul was living in Gola area of Nawabganj upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Tofazzjal Hossain led the mobile court and sentenced the four drug addicts for one month imprisonment.
ASI of Nababganj Police Station Abu Said said that on Saturday morning, the police arrested Maqbool and Bulbul from Dighirpar area of the upazila and arrested Rakib and Alamgir from Bara Rajpara. When they were presented to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer at noon, the magistrate in the mobile court sent everyone to jail for one month and sent them to jail.
