Paying homage to the late legendary Bangladeshi guitarist-songwriter-composer-singer Ayub Bachchu, an open-air concert titled ‘Dui Banglar Rockbaji’ held yesterday at Patuli Mela Ground of Kolkata.
Organised by Cafe Kabira, the concert not only featured the songs of renowned musicians, but also the singers from both India and Bangladesh shared the memories of the late rock star during their performance.

This concert witnessed a group of versatile artistes such as, Maqsood Haque/Maq (Feedback, Maqsood ‘O’ Dhaka), Sina Hassan ‘O’ Bangla Five (Bangladesh), Lincon D Costa, Jacob Dayas (First guitar teacher of late Ayub Bachhu) and Subrata Barua Rony from Bangladesh. From Kolkata, Anindya (Sohor), Avijit Burman/Pota, Soumitra Roy (Bhumi), Upal (Chandrabindu), Gaurav Chattopadhhay (Lokhhichara), Pradip Chattopadhhay (Moheener Ghoraguli), Bapi (Moheener Ghoraguli), Bramhakhapa, Deb Chowdhury performed in the concert.

To note, Ayub Bachchu, one of the most talented musicians Bangladesh has ever produced, died from a heart attack in Dhaka on October 18 this year.
