At least two women were killed in separate incidents in the capital on Monday. The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
An unidentified woman, aged about 35, was killed in a train accident at Kuril Bishwa Road area in the early morning. Nazrul Islam, Sub Inspector (SI) of Dhaka Railway police station, confirmed the matter.
On the other hand, a 22-year-old housewife named Nupur Akther, was found hanging from her scarf at her residence in East Hajipara Bow Bazar of Rampura.
Enamul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station, said that rickshaw driver Dulal, husband of the deceased, killed his wife on suspicion of extra-marital affair and family feud. The killer Dulal was arrested from his native home in Sherpur.
