RAB-7 has rescued 10 Rohingyas including women from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar during the preparation of illegal human trafficking by sea at the early hours on Friday.
The Rohingyas were rescued from the house of Abdur Rahman in Mazparpara area of Shahpiir Island, Teknaf. Five of the Rohingya rescued have been found in Kutupalong, 3 in Liongulhi, 1 in Teknaf’s Jadimora and 1 in Mogini Rohingya camp. They were all preparing to go to Malaysia.
At that time, the owner of the house Abdur Rahman was arrested in connection with the trafficking. Detainee Abdur Rahman is the son of Fazlul Haque of the area.
RAB-7 CPC-2 Teknaf Camp Company Commander Lt. Mirza Saheed Mahtab said, on the basis
of secret news that some Rohingyas are going to be travelling illegally by sea to Malaysia, members of RAB-7 CPC-2 Teknaf camp launched
the operation.

The process of handing over the detained Abdur Rahman to Teknaf Police is underway in connection with the relevant law.
