Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) observed World Veterinary Day-2024. This year's theme of the day is "Veterinarians are essential health workers".
On this occasion, a colourful procession was taken out in the university campus on the initiative of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on Sunday afternoon. CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. ASM Lutful Ahsan led the procession with the Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, Dean of Faculty of Food Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Ferdousi Akhtar, Registrar Mirza Faruq Imam, Director (Research and Extension) Prof. Dr. S. KM Azizul Islam, Director (External Activities) Prof. Dr. AKM Saifuddin, Director (Farm) Dr. Md. Saiful Bari, Director (Planning & Development) Prof. Dr. Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Proctor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mezbah Uddin, Coordinator ( Higher Education) Professor Dr. Omar Farooq Miyazi along with faculty, officials and staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine participated.
After the procession, a discussion was held in the academic building-1 conference room of the university CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Lutful Ahsan was present as the chief guest in the meeting. Dr. Paritosh Kumar Biswas, Professor of Microbiology and Veterinary Public Health Department, presented the main article in the meeting while Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman ,Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was in the chair.
