Chittagong Abahani dominated their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match against Brothers Union on Saturday, securing a convincing 5-0 victory at Muktijuddho Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi.

The win saw Chittagong Abahani defenders and forwards combine for a goal fest. Defender Mohammed Nasir Uddin opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by a strike from Nigerian forward Paul Sean in the 32nd minute. This established a comfortable 2-0 lead for Chittagong Abahani by halftime.

The second half saw Chittagong Abahani maintain their offensive momentum. Striker Riaj Uddin added a third goal in the 60th minute, further extending their lead. Nigerian forward Ifegwu David then put the game out of reach for Brothers Union, scoring the team's fourth goal in the 73rd minute.

This dominant performance propelled Chittagong Abahani to 16 points from 13 matches.

Brothers Union, on the other hand, remained at their previous tally of 3 points from the same number of games.

In another BPL match played on Saturday, a goalless draw unfolded between Federation Cup Champions Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) and Bangladesh Police FC at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

Despite strong efforts from MSC forwards Souleymane Diabate and Muzaffar Muzaffarov, neither team managed to find the net. The result left MSC with 27 points from 13 matches (including eight draws), while Bangladesh Police FC secured 18 points from their 13 outings (with six draws).
