A visit to the Padma Bridge left an impression on King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan. On Wednesday, at around 9a.m., he ascended the Padma Bridge from Mawa End and was astounded by its magnificence.

The Bhutanese king pulled over next to pier number eighteen in the middle of the bridge and got out of the vehicle. He spent ten minutes on the bridge. At this point, the Bhutanese King was also taking photos on the bridge.
The arrival of a foreign King at Padma Bridge has pleased the
people living along the Padma River. The Local Government and Bridges authorities welcomed Jigme Khesar when he arrived at service area 2 of the bridge.
