BCB president echoes with Jalal Yunus about Mustafiz

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon almost uphold the comment of Jalal Yunus, Chairman of the BCB cricket operation.

Jalal Yunus, who earlier said about Mustafiz that the left arm medium fast bowler of Bangladesh has nothing to learn playing in the IPL for Chennai Super Kings, the BCB president defended the comments of the cricket operation chairman.

BCB president while talking to the media on Sunday told that IPL would be benefited but not BCB.

Replying to the query, whether Mustafiz would be benefited playing in the IPL or not, BCB president said, “IPL would be benefited if Mustafiz would play there but how we would be.”

Meanwhile, Bangladesh left arm medium fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman's IPL journey for Chennai Super Kings is not going to bad. The leg cutter has taken 12 wickets in seven matches. He also played an important role in the team’s victory in several matches, specially, his four wickets haul steered Chennai Super Kings to start the IPL with winning note but Fiz would not play in the ongoing IPL tournament for a long.

BCB, who had initially given Mustafiz a no-objection certificate (NOC) till April 30 for the IPL, then extended it just for one day more which will end by May 1 after the match of Chennai vs Punjab. If everything goes well, Mustafiz will return to Bangladesh the next day after playing that match on May 2.

BCB’s initial plan was that Mustafiz would play all matches in the series against Zimbabwe. So the board did not give NOC to Mustafiz for the entire season of IPL.

A few days ago, Jalal Yunus, head of BCB's cricket operations, explained that Mustafiz should not play in the IPL but play in the Zimbabwe series. He said, this pacer has nothing to learn from IPL.

He said, “Mustafiz has nothing to learn from IPL. Mustafiz’s learning process is over. Rather, there are many players in the IPL who can learn from Mustafiz. Bangladesh will not be benefited from this.”  There have been many negative impacts and criticisms in the country’s sports arena about such statements of Jalal Yunus. The director of the BCB said that it is better for Mustafiz to play in Bangladesh to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Fizz doesn't last long when Dwayne Bravo teaches Pathirana. Dhoni and Fleming's association is different.”
