For first-year undergraduate science unit (A), 24 universities in the cluster administered the first admission exam in the academic year 2023–2024 on Saturday.
The results of this unit will be published on May 1, said the convener of the cluster admission test organising committee and vice-chancellor of Jessore University of Science and Technology, Professor Md Anwar Hossain.
He said that all the concerned are working for quick release of results. The work is going on with the goal that the result will be published on the due date.
When asked when the classes of the new academic year will start, he said, we want to start the classes soon. For this reason, it has been decided to complete all batch admission activities by July 20. Also, classes will start from August 1. The result of each unit will be declared within 72 hours.
Incidentally, the admission test for science unit of the batch was held on Saturday.
The one-hour-long exam ended at 1 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. There were 1 lakh 70 thousand 599 candidates in 'A' unit. The total attendance rate in 22 centres is 90 percent.
Admission test for Humanities students in 'B' unit will sit the exam on May 3, and 'C' unit candidates on May 10, both from 11 am to 12 pm.
